چکیده
It is known that a non-local complex fermion can be written in terms of two Majorana fermions. We exploit this fact to explain the system zero modes bound vortex and an anti-vortex, on surface topological insulator contact with s-wave superconductor, as fermion. Although current density single mode vanishes, by starting wave packet consisted positive negative energy fermions, we specify time-dependent oscillatory motion emerges system. also show amplitude frequency oscillations depend relative distance those modes. Therefore, observation considered signature Also, such depends between modes, it adjusted bring within resolution observations. Furthermore, indicate predicted reminiscent zitterbewegung effect.

Unconventional Josephson signatures of Majorana bound states.
A junction between two topological superconductors containing a pair of Majorana fermions exhibits a "fractional" Josephson effect, 4π periodic in the superconductors' phase difference. An additional fractional Josephson effect, however, arises when the Majorana fermions are spatially separated by a superconducting barrier. This new term gives rise to a set of Shapiro steps which are essentiall...
متن کاملViewing Majorana Bound States by Rabi Oscillations
We propose to use Rabi oscillation as a probe to view the fractional Josepshon relation (FJR) associated with Majorana bound states (MBSs) expected in one-dimensional topological superconductors. The system consists of a quantum dot (QD) and an rf-SQUID with MBSs at the Josephson junction. Rabi oscillations between energy levels formed by MBSs are induced by ac gate voltage controlling the coup...
متن کاملLocal adiabatic mixing of Kramers pairs of Majorana bound states.
We consider Kramers pairs of Majorana bound states under adiabatic time evolution. This is important for the prospects of using such bound states as parity qubits. We show that local adiabatic perturbations can cause a rotation in the space spanned by the Kramers pair. Hence, the quantum information is unprotected against local perturbations, in contrast to the case of single localized Majorana...
متن کاملObserving Majorana bound states of Josephson vortices in topological superconductors.
In recent years there has been an intensive search for Majorana fermion states in condensed matter systems. Predicted to be localized on cores of vortices in certain nonconventional superconductors, their presence is known to render the exchange statistics of bulk vortices non-abelian. Here we study the equations governing the dynamics of phase solitons (fluxons) in a Josephson junction in a to...
